Synergy+ is a progressive web app (PWA), which means that on (relatively) modern devices it'll behave like a normal app, but at a fraction of the size. Benefits of progressive web apps include automatic updates of only the sections which need updating (rather than reinstalling the entire app), doesn't cost me (the developer) $99/year (*cough* Apple), offline capabilities (which can be seen in Synergy+ w/ the cached grades feature), and it works just like any other app other than the non-conventional installation method.
